Lately I’ve been quite obsessed with the idea of a rural tech brownie. What’s a brownie you ask, it’s a fairy creature wearing a jumper like outfit in striking green and brown colors, though that’s really not the idea i’d dare suggest for my hypothetical brownie. It’s the concept that when a brownie happens by a farmer’s house, they would just leave a piece of bread and glass of milk out on their doorsteps, and in the morning they’d find out that every farm chore had been accomplished by the brownie.
Nowadays, technology is always just around the corner, whether it be in the urban area or the rural areas. The only advantage of being in the urban areas is that troubleshooting services are readily available, while those in the rural is not. Being always the greatest smart aleck to ever tackle such a simple and dumb problem, I sought to remedy the rural need for skillful technology troubleshooters(not that I’m saying that all those people in the rural area are dummies) by conscripting tech brownies to help the common people pursue their interest by the use of technology.
Of course, this concept of a rural tech brownie community scattered across the provinces of the philippines isnt another one of my strike-it-rich gimmicks or part of my world domination plans. It’s entirely a non-profit agenda. well, technically i’d get a cut from it because if the plan proceeds my ruraltechbrownies site’s traffic would greatly increase, and so will my earnings from Google’s adsense.
I’m also planning to integrate pinoy tech brownies into serving GK (Gawad Kalinga) sites. One of the main services that technology has to offer is informational resources. It will greatly help families to start income generating projects, like farming for example, they could get manuals from the internet. and other useful educational stuff.
Before I could even materialize this intellectual toy of a rural tech brownie. I got another idea for a blog listing, that includes the best deals, sales and buys in Iloilo. It just popped into my mind after I bought a buy one take one Readers Digest issue at Robinsons. Everyone could benefit from that you know…
Argh, I’ve got to stop being so altruistic. But somehow I find this whole selfless thing nice… one way or another, it counterbalances the evil that lurks within me. The evil that seeks to dominate the world. hehehe. I’m master evil genius.
