Lately, I’ve been experimenting with Web 2.0 sites and services. Among the particular web services that offers user free podcasting, the one I’ve had a bit of problem dealing with is Gcast. Gcast is great actually, if you’re in the USA. Podcasting thru phone is one of the many strengths the service had to offer, especially because it’s toll-free. I thought I had struck gold when I had actually managed to get thru its voice operated CSR, but then as I entered the ten digit primary telephone number, which is quite a bit of a wtf for me since the international number of our number here at home, even if its thru direct dialling exceeds that of ten! So anyway, I made up a set of numbers, and so I called Gcast, and voila, it worked. But then as I was about to enter my pin. WTF? the line went *blip-blip-blip* and to think of it. I wondered what may be the problem. I cursed as I checked my balance and there it is staring at me with it’s mean wide eyed stare, three zero’s sticking their grimy tongues at me. I had just loaded my phone a sixty pesos a couple of hours ago. Electronic Load, all gone, and what’s worse, I didnt even made a podcast. Drat… Next time, I’m sticking with the mic and the upload thing. Much, much safer.
